Fil-Am tenor Sal Malaki in Christmas Showers of Grace

Sal Malaki in Christmas Showers of Grace

This Christmas, take a break from all the pop tunes and hip hop beats you hear playing on the radio every day.

Indulge in classic opera music for a change and join Filipino-American tenor Sal Malaki as he comes home for his major concert, Christmas Showers Of Grace.

Malaki is the only Filipino-American member of the Los Angeles Opera and the LA Master Chorale.

With a career spanning more than two decades, he has virtually sang almost all operatic masterpieces, and has performed for over a hundred opera productions.

Some of his notable stage appearances include the LA Opera's production of Verdi's La Traviata where he played the role of Giuseppe.

He's also starred as Uncle Yakuside in Puccini's Madame Butterfly.

He was also part of the LA Master Chorale's renditions in epic films such as The Lord Of The Rings, Waterworld, Van Helsing, King Kong, Beauty and the Beast, and Lady in the Water, among others.

Catch the final show on December 11 at  Star Theater, MBC Bldg., CCP Complex, Pasay City.

Matinee show is at 3:00 p.m. and gala at 8:00 p.m.

For ticket inquiries, contact the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Oblate Sisters of the Most Holy Redeemer.
